It starts of brilliantly with 'American Idiot'. This is a very cool song,
with good lyrics and tune.
'Jesus of Suburbia' may be 9 minutes long but you don't notice it. the five
different parts make it seem. more like five short songs. The other 9 minute
song, 'Homecoming', works to the same effect, although i do prefer 'Jesus of
Suburbia'.
'Holiday', is a very catchy song, which gets stuck in my head for days. It,
along With 'Boulevard of Broken Dreams', 'When September Ends' and 'American
Idiot' are some of my favourite songs.
'Blvd of broken dreams'is a song that a lot of people will be able to reflect
with, as with 'When September Ends', written about the death of a father. The
song somehow manages to tie together the emotiveness of the lyrics and Green
Day's punk/rock style.
The other songs, i also really like, such as 'St. Jimmy', 'She's a Rebel'and 'Letterbomb'.
These though if found you had to listen to it a few times to get into them, so
don't be put off if you don't like them at first.
The only song that i don't like, perhaps as much as the others is 'Whatsername'.
Having said this, it's still one very good song and would appeal to people who
are not songs like'St. Jimmy'. - A music fan from United Kingdom.
